American Chocolate Candy Bar

Clark Bar

Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter

How could this bar not become an old fashioned favorite with it's rich milk chocolate coating and honey combed, ground roasted peanut center?

When Irish immigrant David L. Clark became an American entrepreneur, the debut of his Clark Bar in 1917 became a huge hit. Especially with the American soldiers of World War 1.
You very well might think he named the chocolate bar after himself, however the inspiration behind the Clark Bar was actually an employee of his that had a pet chinchilla named  "Clark Can't". Mr Clark took a special liking to the chinchilla and decided it was the perfect name for his candy bar.
